Canadian Experience Class

Canadian Experience Class applicants must have at least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within 3 years of applying. The work experience should be in managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0), professional jobs (NOC skill type A), or technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B) and gained with proper authorization of the Canadian authorities.

Self-employment and work experience gained while being a full-time student will not count under this program. Whereas there is no education requirement for the Canadian Experience Class, points may be earned for education under Express Entry with a Canadian secondary or post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or a completed foreign credential together with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by IRCC showing the foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian secondary or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree.

The minimum language levels are those of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs, or CLB 5 for NOC B jobs.

Other requirements include admissibility to Canada, and applicants must intend to live outside the province of Quebec.
